Dates of Employment: April 2026 – October 2026

Employment Terms: Full time, Seasonal, Temporary

Expected Hours: 40+ hours per week; weekends, holidays included

Pay: $18-25/hour, based on experience, plus eligible to participate in gratuity pool

Job Purpose: Trinchera Ranch is looking for a hard-working line cook to produce all assigned menu items in an efficient and consistent manner while following the specifications, recipes, and techniques set by the Executive Chef.

More Information

  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
  • Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces).
  • Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, dairy and other food items using knives, electric mixers, immersion blenders, food processors, scales, and portion bags.
  • Processes prepared foods for service using ovens, gas stoves, griddles, and broilers.
  • Assure that each item is cooked to the Chef and guest’s expectations.
  • Garnish each dish properly.
  • Maintain an orderly and sanitary workstation including tables, shelves, broilers, sauté burners, ovens, flat top griddles, and refrigeration equipment both during and after service.
  • Stock inventory appropriately.
  • Assist with dishwashing tasks as needed.
  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion.
  • Follow proper guidelines and practices for food safety/sanitation.
  • Use tools, materials, and other equipment properly and safely.
  • Willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as requested by supervisor.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Perform other Ranch duties as assigned.

Knowledge: Strong knowledge of cooking methods, kitchen equipment, and best practices.

 

Skill: Experience with the preparation of game and health-conscious fare.

 

Ability: Follows instructions, maintains positive attitude.

 

Education: Some culinary education preferred.

 

Experience: Previous culinary experience required.

Work Environment: This position has frequent exposure to periods of high activity, interruptions, and high stress under demanding conditions. The position requires communication with Company employees, customers, and other individuals. Work hours will vary depending upon the needs of the Company’s customers at any given time and will involve working long or non-traditional hours to fulfill Company and/or customer needs, projects, or special circumstances.

 

Physical Activities: Moderate physical activity is required. Must possess the ability to lift items in excess of 50 pounds occasionally and up to 15 pounds frequently. This position requires standing for extended periods of time, walking, stooping/bending, lifting, repetitive motion, using hands to feel or handle objects, tools, or controls, and normal vision.
